We publish work from people who actually do this — salon owners, buyers, distributors, estheticians and sellers. Free to submit, reviewed by an editor, and held to a specific keyword standard.
Pick a keyword with 200+ monthly searches and an SEO difficulty under 35. Write 1,200 words or more that genuinely answer it. Submit through your dashboard with the keyword, its volume, its difficulty and the tool you used. An editor reviews it within a week.
Why we ask for keyword data
Most guest posts fail for one boring reason: nobody is searching for the thing they are about. An article on a keyword with thirty searches a month cannot bring traffic to you or to us, however well written it is.
So we ask every contributor to do the research first and show us the numbers. It takes ten minutes, it is free in several tools, and it is the difference between an article that sits unread and one that earns a position.
The two numbers that decide it

The submission form calculates this live as you type, so you know before you press submit whether the piece meets the bar. You can still submit something that misses it — occasionally there is a good reason — but explain why in the summary.
Where to get the numbers, free
- Google Keyword Planner — free with any Google Ads account. Gives volume ranges rather than exact figures, which is fine.
- Ubersuggest — a few free searches a day, gives both volume and difficulty.
- Ahrefs or Semrush — free tiers and trial accounts give limited lookups.
- KeywordTool.io — free suggestions, volume behind a paywall.
Whichever you use, tell us on the form. Different tools produce different numbers for the same keyword and we need to know which scale we are reading.
What we publish
- Wholesale and trade — sourcing, distributors, MOQs, margins, retail operations, supplier risk.
- Skincare and ingredients — evidence-based, with sources.
- Makeup technique — practical, specific, from people who actually do it.
- Haircare — same standard as skincare.
- Business of beauty — running a salon, spa or store.
What we decline
- Anything written to place a link. It is obvious every time.
- AI-generated filler with no first-hand knowledge.
- Medical claims without a source.
- Content published elsewhere. It must be original to us.
- Thin articles. Under 1,200 words is almost always declined.
- Product roundups where you sell the products.
House style
- Lead with the answer. Open by answering the question in the headline, then explain.
- Use specifics. Numbers, names, dates. "Many distributors" is weak; "a $750 minimum" is strong.
- Structure with H2s that read like questions people search.
- Include a table where you are comparing anything.
- Add 5 to 7 FAQs at the end using real questions.
- Be honest about limitations. Balanced pieces get cited more, by readers and by AI answer engines.

- Write and submit through your dashboard.
- An editor reviews it — usually two to five working days.
- Approved: it publishes under your byline and appears on your author page. Sent back: you get a note explaining what to change, and can resubmit.

We do not pay for contributions at present, and we are upfront about that rather than implying otherwise.

Do you pay for guest articles?
Not at the moment. Contributors get a bylined article, a public author page linking to every piece they publish here, and a nofollow link to their own site in their profile.
What keyword rules do you apply?
Two numbers decide it. The target keyword must have a monthly search volume of at least 200, and an SEO difficulty score below 35. If a submission misses either, it is usually sent back with a note rather than published.
Which keyword tool should I use?
Any of Ahrefs, Semrush, Ubersuggest, Moz, Google Keyword Planner or KeywordTool.io. Tell us which one you used, because their numbers differ. We spot-check the figures before approving.
Can I include a link to my own website?
One, in your author profile, and it will be nofollow. Links inside the article body are only allowed where they genuinely support the reader, and commercial ones are removed.
How long does review take?
Usually two to five working days. You will see the status change on your dashboard, along with any note from the editor.
How long should the article be?
1,200 words minimum, and most published pieces run 1,500 to 2,000. Short articles rarely answer a search query well enough to rank.
